Brainzyme Focus Elite – Yay or Nay? https://stepspodcast.com/2021/12/30/brainzyme-focus-elite/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=brainzyme-focus-elite Thu, 30 Dec 2021 01:42:40 +0000 https://stepspodcast.com/2021/12/30/brainzyme-focus-elite/ Brainzyme is a company that focuses (see what I did there?) On developing blends of plant-based supplements in an effort to increase your brain’s capacity and overall function. This most definitely qualifies as a nootropic.

I came across this company and had to give them a try. I am not affiliated with them in any way, but I did find an affiliate link, so I will be using that in this article. It does not encourage or persuade my feelings or opinions in any way.

Is Suramin in Pine Needle Tea? https://stepspodcast.com/2021/11/28/suramin/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=suramin Sun, 28 Nov 2021 00:10:28 +0000 https://stepspodcast.com/2021/11/28/suramin/ Largely known as a growth factor receptor antagonist Suramin is currently only used in the treatment of river blindness (onchocerciasis) as well as African sleeping sickness (trypanosomiasis). This medication is not approved by the USA FDA, but it is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines. Unfortunately, it is not absorbed through the stomach or intestines, so ingesting it will unfortunately not provide the terapeutic that you are hoping for.

Preparing Yourself For Your Covid-19 Vaccine https://stepspodcast.com/2021/11/19/feeling-the-best-after-your-covid-19-vaccine/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=feeling-the-best-after-your-covid-19-vaccine Fri, 19 Nov 2021 20:11:49 +0000 https://stepspodcast.com/2021/11/19/feeling-the-best-after-your-covid-19-vaccine/ Pain at the injection site is likely because you have cause a trauma to the area from the needle going in as well as the space created within the muscle as the medication is being injected. This will illicit your immune response of inflammation, which causes the continued pain at the injection site and may cause swelling and redness.

Emergency First Aid for Heart Attack or Myocardial Infarction https://stepspodcast.com/2021/11/17/emergency-first-aid-for-heart-attack-or-myocardial-infarction/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=emergency-first-aid-for-heart-attack-or-myocardial-infarction Wed, 17 Nov 2021 22:38:52 +0000 https://stepspodcast.com/2021/11/17/emergency-first-aid-for-heart-attack-or-myocardial-infarction/ A myocardial infarction is a heart attack, plainly put. Myocardial refers to the muscle of the heart and infarction refers to a blockage. In most cases of a heart attack, the blockage refers to a blood clot or other entity blocking the blood vessels that supply blood and nutrients the muscles of the heart. When the muscles of the heart cannot get enough blood supply, areas of the heart lack oxygen and begin to die off as a result. A blockage is not the only cause of a heart attack, but we will focus on this particular cause as it is the most common.

Don’t take that one as a nootropic, please.

International Day of Disaster Risk Reduction // Disaster Preparedness https://stepspodcast.com/2021/10/13/disaster-preparedness/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=disaster-preparedness Wed, 13 Oct 2021 14:00:00 +0000 https://stepspodcast.com/2021/10/13/disaster-preparedness/ On October 13th, 1989 The United Nation’s General Assembly made a call for an international day to promote risk-awareness and disaster reduction. October 13th was hailed as the "International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction.” Disasters can come in many different forms — both natural or artificial. This observed day is dedicated to encouraging a global culture of reducing the risk of disasters. Reducing the risk starts by first identifying potential risks to not only ourselves and our communities, but to the world. This isn’t just a day for ourselves to look at disaster risk reduction, such as preparing our homes for earth quakes, or checking our fire extinguishers, but to see our community and our fellow countries and what risks might be looming.
